Strategies
providing results
The
process of good communication presupposes setting objectives. They make
assesment of achievements more valuable and make possible further
adjustment of information efforts. Thorough description of
objectives is important in order to succeed and to make possible
estimates of how the communication contribute to the goals of the
company.
Strategic
preparation makes clear targets, target groups, and what kind of
response that shall be achieved. The goals in which the information
shall fullfil put premises for the contents, style and performance of
communication in all parts of the value chain the communication process
represents.
Clear
premises increase the quality of all decisions and actions performed
in the value chain of communication. The allocation and use of
ressources will be more effective and sufficient for the task.

Sun
Tzu, Napoleon, Clausewitz....Communication strategies convey classical
elements. Insight in communication sort out the aspects of information.
When
working with communication strategy cases in cooperation with our
clients, we will focus on following elements:
- Information strategy should be based on clearly defined description of
wanted results.
- When defining results it should be a clear link to overall objectives
as well
as other important goals and action plans for the particular
section/level
in the organisation.
- It should be an ambition to describe the information in a concrete way
which can be measured.
- Use of value chains to link intangible values with possible, tangible
value
effects may identify circumstances which are measureable.
- In order to assess development made/contributed by communication,
it
should be available/be established a description of status quo before
launch of communication activities.
- Strategies require time. The process will provide results both in
short and
long time perspectives.
